The 24-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract with Bournemouth, joining from Leeds where he had previously arrived from RB Leipzig on a five-year deal in 2022.

Cherries chief executive Neill Blake expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition, highlighting the club’s ambition. He stated, “To have him sign for AFC Bournemouth shows the ambition we have as a club. We’re thrilled to have brought Tyler to the club, and he is a player we’ve admired for a long time.

It’s been widely documented how much his talents have been recognized in this transfer window.”

Blake also emphasized Adams’ potential as a valuable addition to the squad, given his experience despite being only 24 years old. He added, “Tyler is an exciting player who possesses plenty of experience for someone that is just 24 years of age, and we’re looking forward to working with him as he’s a player we know will be a great addition to our squad.”

Contrary to initial reports of a £20 million release clause being triggered, the exact fee for Adams’ transfer has not been disclosed, but it is known to be higher and without a release clause, as per BBC Sport.

In the 2022-23 season, Adams featured in 26 games for Leeds before an injury forced him to undergo surgery for a hamstring injury at the end of March. The player took to Twitter to bid farewell to Leeds, expressing gratitude to the club, teammates, and fans for their support. He acknowledged that he wished he could have contributed more during the final stretch of the season.

Although initial talks with Chelsea fell through, Adams has now become manager Andoni Iraola’s seventh signing for Bournemouth.

He joins a reshaped midfield, which also includes teenage talent Alex Scott, signed from Bristol City for a reported fee of £25 million earlier this month.

In addition to Adams and Scott, Bournemouth’s summer signings have included Hamed Traore from Sassuolo and Justin Kluivert from Roma.
